OVERVIEW

About lamicoids

Lamicoids are layered plastic plates that are engraved to reveal a contrasting core colour, giving you crisp lettering that will not rub off or fade the way a printed sticker can. They are one of the most cost-effective labelling options for electrical, instrumentation and industrial applications, which is why they show up on so many panels and machines.

We engrave lamicoids for identification tags, electrical panels, legend plates, machine panels, cable tags, warning signs, valve tags and nameplates. Our manufacturing method allows for custom colours and designs, so your labels can follow your own colour coding or a client's specification and still communicate clearly at a glance.

FAQ

Lamicoids FAQ

Still have a question? Call 905-662-1110 or send us your project details.

What is a lamicoid?

A lamicoid is a layered plastic plate. Engraving cuts through the top layer to expose a contrasting colour underneath, so the text is part of the plate itself rather than printed on the surface.

Can you match our existing colour coding?

Yes. Our manufacturing method allows for custom colours, so we can work to your plant or client colour standard. Let us know the colours when you request a quote.

Can you make a large batch of numbered tags?

Yes. Send us your list or numbering sequence and we will engrave each tag to match, then package them in order so installation is straightforward.

Are lamicoids suitable for harsh outdoor conditions?

Lamicoids are durable for most indoor industrial settings. For extreme heat, chemicals or outdoor exposure, ask us about stainless steel or aluminum plates instead.
